Connect Dropbox over OAuth 2.0: you approve on Dropbox's authorize screen, so the password never reaches Well; Well holds only a scoped token it can refresh.
Well does not read from Dropbox yet, since importing from Dropbox is still coming soon. Once a record clears review, Well's pipeline can save the invoice PDF to Dropbox.
Before delivery Well reconciles and enriches each document, resolving the document so what reaches Dropbox arrives matched and carries its full audit trail.
Approved records post directly to Dropbox over its API once they clear your review queue; the write credential stays scoped to your workspace.
Ask in plain language. Well answers from your connected Dropbox connection, resolved against the rest of your stack.

Dropbox connects through Well's file-storage connector, which authorises the folder Well may write to and uploads extracted PDFs there on your behalf. The live capability is outbound: Well writes a document into your Dropbox folder, it does not read files back, since inbound import is still coming soon. The access lets Well file processed documents into storage, not post anything to an accounting ledger.

PDFs, images, and scanned documents in the Dropbox folders Well watches are OCR'd when they are indexed through the connection. The original file stays in Dropbox; Well stores the parsed representation and the source pointer.
Each Dropbox extracted invoice PDF is scored against the candidate file in Dropbox folders in your workspace on identifier overlap, amount or quantity match, date proximity, and counterparty resolution. Open Connections > Dropbox in Well and click Disconnect. Well calls Dropbox's token revocation endpoint and stops calling Dropbox immediately on its side; provider-side propagation to Dropbox's admin panel varies by provider. Once a reconciled record clears your review queue, Well posts it directly to Dropbox over the connected API: line items, ledger codes, vendor or customer references, and source-document links. Dropbox stays the system of record for posted entries; Well writes only what you have already approved (case-by-case or under a per-rule auto-post threshold you set).
